Finalists from the Philippines at Intel ISEF 2014

The finalists have arrived and are setting up their projects and making new friends. We're taking hundreds of photos at Intel ISEF 2014. We're sharing many of them to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Flickr. We're also going to share select photos here on our blog.

Badges for finalists, volunteers, judges and parents all ready to be handed out.

Thousands of badges were prepared ahead of time to be handed out to finalists, volunteers, judges, parents and more.

One of the first thing that many finalists did was get their photo taken in front of the Finalists Exibit banner. This is part of team Saudi Arabia.

This is what the exibit hall looked like when it first opened. Only a small percentage of the projects had been set up, and most of the finalists still hadn't arrived in Los Angeles.

One of the first things finalists do at Intel ISEF is get their projects set up. Thankfully, there are lots of helpful volunteers on hand to help make sure everything is set up properly and ready to go.

The Hub is where finalists go to get supplies and advice from volunteers and staff.

Set up can also be a great time for students to get some down time before the week really kicks off with judging and Public Day. Students make friends, talk about their projects and share their love for science.

Students work together to get their projects set up. Some finalists have parnters for their projects, but teams from different cities, states and countries also work together to help each other out.
