Ecologist Johanna Verner talks about her career path from cell biology to engineering to a rocky mountainside to study pikas

This week I had the opportunity to interview Johanna Varner. Johanna is a graduate student at the University of Utah. She studies pikas, small furry mammals related to rabbits, and how they respond to climate change. As part of her project, she is working with middle school students and other volunteers to monitor pikas and their behavior.
